CADS Calgary

The Brief

CADS Calgary is the local branch of the Canadian Association for Disabled Skiing. Peak Ed Designs redesigned this ambitious website with two primary objectives: Sharing a wealth of information and resources while ensuring that material is easy and intuitive to navigate. The goal was to properly convey the fun, exciting and motivational nature of the program through compelling imagery and engaging copywriting (from partner ‘Ricca Wrote That’).

Our Approach

In order to gather information and gain a better understanding of communications objectives, a multi-prong initiative was conducted. Peak Ed Designs engaged in correspondences and interviews with several CADS Calgary stakeholders to gain necessary organization and policy information. An SEO study into adaptive snowsports was also conducted and implemented to find out what interested people were searching for. Information collected through these interviews along with the search engine discovery were carefully worked into the website that would properly siphon the three distinct target audiences: potential participants, volunteers and donors.

Care was then given to make imagery and design choices that would match the aspirational and fun community vibe inherent in the program.

The Result

The result is a broad yet exciting modern website, jam-packed with both information and spirit. Visitors are welcomed by a bright group photo, and are never more than a single click away from information pertinent to them. Calls to action are motivating and plentiful, eliminating any barriers to joining the CADS Calgary community.
